As fun as it is to mock that dogshit essay because it truly is abysmally bad, it’s important not to forget that the goal of this entire thing is to remove trans people from academia.
And this is ignoring that this is the world’s most obvious targeted campaign to demonize and remove trans people from visible positions in society.

Never felt more seen in a thread from a fellow educator. The proportion of my students that are unable (unwilling?) to follow written instructions is very nearly 100% in labs now. This is a dramatic, extremely concerning, change over the last few years and nothing I do to mitigate this has helped.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.
