This is Cornelius. He is 11. He has liver cancer and we don’t know how long we have left with him. In the meantime, he remains perfect and happy and 100% in charge of the house. We love him ❤️🐾

I’ve not been super public about this but back in May my oldest dog was discovered to have a large mass on his liver and the surgeon says biopsy/removal would be too risky. I’ve just kinda been in my feels about it lately. I love my boy and I’m gonna miss him when he leaves us. #cornelius

In happy news, Jim and I are on vacation as a belated 10th anniversary trip and we brought Pandora. She gets a new stuffy toy, which is extra special because her brothers can’t have stuffies ❤️

UPDATE: we got our dogs a little pool
Pandora, a petite brindled pittie mix, stands in a brightly colored inflatable kiddie pool on a wooden deck. It is hard to tell, but Pandora is soaking wet. Hence, the displeased glare on her face as she looks at the camera. She would much rather play with the hose than go swimming, thank you very much.

MAJOR UPDATE I SAW FISH AT THE FISH DOORBELL!!!!

The fish travel upstream during summer months and can sometimes get stuck at locks in the canal. The city of Utrecht placed this camera here and a virtual “doorbell” to alert the city lock keeper when fish are trapped. Then he can open the gate to allow the fish through! This is a dream come true for me.
