Same thing for autism: everyone cites communication issues and visible stimming as the main issues, but ask autistic people and most will be preoccupied by executive function and how to deal with anxiety
(Again, what annoys outside people)
I found this an interesting but maddening read. Interesting for the research, but maddening for how it was written, focusing almost exclusively on children, using “he” as the pronoun for every hypothetical child, and spending a lot of time on how ADHD symptoms annoy parents and teachers
“Even as prescriptions rise to a record high, some experts have begun to question our assumptions about the condition — and how to treat ADHD.”

Thank you, @booker.senate.gov !
Listen to Sen Cory Booker rip into anyone who voted for the CR!

He’s pledged to hold the floor tonight for as long as possible.

Let’s lift him up and show him support as he gets in good trouble!

This letter from Paul Weiss chair Brad Karp makes things worse. Basically offers rationale and justification for everyone else following in Paul Weiss’s footsteps and capitulating to Trump. BLUF: We capitulated and everyone else should as well.

This is, in its way, as egregious a totalitarian action as we've seen yet from this burgeoning dictatorship.
bsky.app/profile/reil... this is bonkers and deeply disturbing. Private security, DOJ, DOGE, and the DC police together worked to take control over a private building the government *does not own* and dismiss the staff *whom the president does not employ,* removing them, it seems, with armed force

bsky.app/profile/beye... i appreciate that Congressman Beyer keeps showing up at these illegally commandeered buildings. It would be great if more of his colleagues joined him.
I was at USIP tonight to conduct congressional oversight over DOGE’s break in. I spoke with Acting President & CEO Moose. USIP is an independent, non-profit entity and I will work to stop DOGE’s illegal power grab.
DOGE broke into the U.S. Institute of Peace headquarters in Northwest D.C. Monday evening, the independent nonprofit’s CEO said.

Not how it works. And they know it. The courts must come down on the Trump administration for this so hard that they do not dare disobey a court order again.

I have seen judges do this with *juveniles*. Explain to me again why they cannot do it with DOJ or the FBI or Marco Rubio.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Dems. Hold the line. Do not vote to fund DOGE (the government). Make the GOP fund the government or let them shut it down. They’re the majority.
All of these Republican congressmen who said in these past posts that they will never vote for another CR will vote for another CR on Tuesday.

Y'all this is REALLY BAD. They disappeared a Palestinian activist green card holder who is married to a US citizen. He could literally be ANYWHERE 🌍 right now! ICE claims they cancelled his green card, something no judge has ruled on yet. Columbia colluded w/ ICE to make this happen.
UPDATE—Mahmoud's attorney says they do NOT know where he is.
They were first told he was sent to an ICE facility in Elizabeth, NJ. But when his 8-month-pregnant wife tried to visit him, she was told he's not there.
They've received reports he may be sent as far away as Louisiana.
