Rupert Murdoch is pure evil, a monster who has inflicted unimaginable damage on the fabric of society, but he's careful and ruthless in a way Trump never could be, and it was fatal for Trump to cross him.

The worst thing the NYT can pull up is a few mean words on bluesky as the to why trans people went too far. Meanwhile, the far right was conducting a simmering terror campaign against gender clinics and the broader trans community.

You're afraid I might say something mean on bluesky.

I'm afraid they'll murder me or bomb my gender clinic.

We are not the same.

Why are protests against private businesses and nonprofits so effective?

They are inequipped to deal with the fallout, and definitely not accustomed to it. Many will quickly acquiesce, since protests could deter customers and disrupt operations.

Keep protesting hotels!

Also, protests continue:

if you’re protesting or considering it, stop the bleed training is very easy and super useful: www.stopthebleed.org/training/onl...

also look up IFAKs and make your own with gauze, tourniquet, gloves, and any other supplies you want available to you for you in the event you’re injured at a protest.

One reason I don't think it's useful to argue about the correct tactics for Democrats to win elections is winning elections isn't enough. They've won the presidency 5 out of 9 times since 1992 and where are we now. The question is how we create something better than a dead cat bounce party

if you're looking to learn martial arts for self defense in a protest scenario, judo is a really good idea.

it's MUCH easier to learn trips, throws, how to use your weight, breakfalls, scrambles, etc than to learn striking.

striking is great but it takes a lot longer to achieve proficiency
