The president of the United States posted a video of him defecating on the American people. Many in my profession normalized it. This is a big reason why we are where we are.

Beautiful artwork showing an ICE brown shirt getting punched by Superman, and vandalism of the mural getting fixed by having Krypto piss on the gestapo piece of shit.

Mind you, it use to be normal to put pictures of yourself and your loved ones to display. Family photos, vacation memories, yearbook photos. Is it weird that your grandparent’s house is full of family photos? We need to bring it back!!
Skyline, do y'all think it's weird to display photos of yourself in your home?

Well, a minute after I posted this, a number of MPD and one other fed car (didn’t get what agency) raced over to Dupont Circle.

It seems someone “harassed” some of the National Guard. I didn’t see what happened.

Seems like half the NG at Dupont are carrying M4 carbine assault rifles.

To reiterate: there is no legitimate justification for this. Violent crime is at a 30-year low in D.C.
"So we're getting this information from multiple sources [...] within the mayor's office and within Metro Police Department, that President Trump, come tomorrow, will deploy the National Guard along the streets of DC."

A hunger strike at a South Florida immigration detention center state officials have named “Alligator Alcatraz” enters its tenth day, as detainees protest what they call inhumane and dangerous living conditions.

NYC is on track to receive * 2 million * fewer international visitors this year than previously projected. Significant economic blow. Direct result of Trump’s crazy policies.

also, the idea that marc andreessen had to put up with meaningful bigotry is truly brain breaking. the year andreessen made his first fortune, Amadou Diallo was killed in cold blood by the NYPD for looking like the wrong black guy
I keep coming back to this bit by Marc because it’s literally breaking things over a grievance he literally made up in his head, like this dude became a billionaire in his late 20’s entirely because of the institutions he now wants to destroy

This is a poll tax.
Lawmakers in at least 27 states have introduced bills that would require voters to provide citizenship documents like a birth certificate or passport to vote. Such rules would block huge numbers of American citizens from

State Bills Would Require Passport or Birth Certificate to Register to Vote
As the Senate considers the SAVE Act, some state legislators are trying to replicate the bill’s restrictive show-your-papers requirements for voter registration.
