I have a similar setup. It's really convenient to know how someone knows you based on the name they use.
My friends, my wife and my wife's family call me Dave, my family and my work colleagues call me David so I go by both names but it annoys me far more than it should when this gets mixed up and a colleague calls me Dave or a friend calls me David
