My distressingly earnest take on a lot of stuff is that the real divide in politics is by people who are ultimately driven by love and joy and those who are primarily driven by hate and anger. Each finds different objects, policies and directions, but the chasm is between rather than among each side

I'm not being rhetorical. Their beliefs diverge from anything like evidence-based perception of an overwhelming complex reality.

Okay, I have to say, this doesn't really seem like Epstein's handwriting. It was postmarked after his death, which doesn't prove it ISN'T real, but DOES mean anyone had the info to write it. And the postmark seems to be from VA.

Think this coming year I'm also going to go headlong into sci-fi, fantasy, and the weird in my fiction tastes. I keep telling myself to read more modernism but I'm finding that just turns into a duty. I have a job already.

I might experiment with spending dramatically less time on here and seeing if it has any impact on my understanding of the world one way or the other. But not delete my account, unlike everyone other time I've done something similar
