Very disappointing result in Minneapolis. It seems that nonstop media smears in defense of a corrupt incompetent moron still works. Shouldn't really be surprising after 2024 I guess.

Earle-Sears ran what felt like 12 billion ads about how much she hated trans kids and I didn’t hear a single pundit say she should stick to real issues that affect real people.

It’s 5 PM, which means you still have 3 hours left to rank all 3 candidates for a new mayor:

As long as you’re in line to vote at your polling place by 8PM, you can cast your vote for a new mayor!

Ezra Klein's NYT column leans on the trope of Manchin being better than a GOP senator in WV. He doesn't mention Manchin blocking the Build Back Better Act or For the People Act in 2021.

Here I mention three Senate races where voters might have turned out for universal programs that Manchin killed:

The dark money group No Labels is reportedly loading up on billionaire donors to support conservative Democrats in elections ahead.

something ghoulishly amusing about watching Scott Adams beg the President to lean on his insurer to help him get a cancer treatment and see all his fellow MAGAs in the comments advising him to simply take ivermectin

This also applies to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which funded all sorts of valuable, everyday projects the "abundance" brunchlord class couldn't be bothered to notice
Utterly bizarre to describe climate change policy as some kind of radical-left albatross.

The IRA contained precisely the kind of 'kitchen table' programs everyone says Democrats should focus on — and they're popular!

The problem was that Americans *didn't know* what the IRA was or who passed it.

The biggest problem with Linux for normal users is that it is very easy to accidentally activate turbo encabulation mode, which causes your GPU to explode.

Why Linus Toravaldo ever made the "e" key do this is still a mystery, no wonder Interpol is still searching for him.

They are constantly talking about "kitchen table issues."
