The domino meme and the smallest domino is "Craigslist destroys classified ad revenue for local newspapers" and the big domino is, well, everything happening now
one of the underrated factors for the rise in scamming across U.S. society is the death of local media.
It gets lost in the shuffle, but the Speaker of the House is someone who, by all rights, should’ve had his career ended a decade ago by a Shreveport TV news investigative team.

Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel:

"People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

The party can burn in hell

Checking in on this: the school board member who opposed the ban on trans athletes, and who was then challenged by the parent of the HS girl who'd complained, won reelection, 60 to 40%.
I'd totally missed this:

In Tumwater, WA, a HS student complained about a trans basketball player. Then, the local school board passed a resolution to ban trans girls from girl sports.

Now, the mother of that student is running against the sole school board member to vote against the resolution.

Inside Politics does a detailed analysis of the new Texas map and concludes that, no, nothing about it looks like a dummymander.

Dems there could do better than the GOP expected, but even then the map would have shielded GOP from more losses. Important to be realistic:
Could Democrats Break the Texas Gerrymander?
Would a return to form among Latino voters help Democrats break the Texas GOP gerrymander?

The Supreme Court rejected Davis’s bid to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges. But in Texas and elsewhere, anti-gay activists are chipping away at the right that case protects.
