I missed this dispatch earlier. Details on the companies that should live in shame for their role in rushed destruction of White House East Wing.

Remember them, and their "leaders."

Main point: read the @birddroneone.bsky.social thread.
The East Wing Desecrators

Given the extraordinary and unprecedented destruction of the entire East Wing, built in 1942 for the Office of the First Lady, it’s important to note who enabled this.

In this thread, I run through the companies and organizations involved and provide contact info.

Twenty-five years ago, and before, @billkristolbulwark.bsky.social and I would not have agreed on much.

He is entirely on the right side here.

These governors of SC and OH, whose urban crime problems are *worse* than DC's, should mind their own business.
There’s no longer any pretense this has anything to do with crime (there are cities or parts of cities in SC and Ohio that have higher crime rates than DC — send the troops there!). This is about establishing a precedent for Trump seizing control of the nation’s capital when he wants to.
WASHINGTON (AP) — South Carolina, Ohio also sending National Guard troops to DC in further escalation of federal intervention in Dem city.

This is excellent and exactly matches what we've seen in reporting w construction teams, farm managers, food service, bldg maintenance. Let's not even talk about packing houses

Everyone knows this, except Miller, Noem, Homan, Trump, Congressional GOP. (Actually, they know.)

100% worth watching
Spot on. This is the clearest explanation I’ve seen. It ‘s relatable, and humanizes the issue in a way everyone can understand.

Possible to start to tell a unified story: "Trump is personally too old, crazy, and confused to run things, so at any given time the question is which co-president is in charge. At first it was Musk, & we got the crazy chaotic DOGE era. Then Navarro: a trade war that crashed markets. Now Miller..."

I agee w Patrick. (We lived in China at same time, diff on many things, agree here.)

Chinese leaders always reckoned with the vast *depth* of US strength. Institutions, networks, expertise.

Now, in cold-blooded rather than triumphalist mode, they recognize they're dealing with nuts and clowns.
The trade war will undoubtedly hurt the Chinese economy. But I honestly don’t think Xi cares. He sees this correctly, as a historic opportunity to destroy U.S. global influence.
Views for Al Jazeera: The dip in #HongKong offered a more accurate gauge of the market’s expectations for how the #tariffs will affect #China’s economy than the stock markets on the Chinese mainland.
