The “Trump blew Bill” thing is advantageous in a bunch of ways but my favorite is that, aside from Trump, it’s a genuinely victimless joke.

Bill Clinton doesn’t give a shit if you believe Trump sucked him off. In fact, I promise you the man feels alive right now in a way he hasn’t for 30 years.

I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

How about a monster trilobite for #FossilFriday?

This is an Isotelus maximus from the late Ordovician near Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Friends of UMMP purchased this specimen and it is on display @ummnh.bsky.social

1. This new bill is stupid and bad
2. I wish news organizations would be clear as to where this is in terms of "How a Bill Becomes a Law", i.e. you have to get a tiny bit further to see that it's in the House NDAA (bad) but not in the Senate (?) and that will have to be resolved?
"Prohibited activities would include joint research, co-authorship & advising a foreign graduate student or postdoc. The language is retroactive, meaning any interactions during the previous 5 years could make a scientist ineligible for future federal funding."

My hot take about Metroid is that I'm not big into Metroid but I don't think you should ever hear a single human voice or see a single human face during the course of those games unless you 101%'d it, and then you get to see Samus's newest gorgeous visage say "congratulations, gamer" at the camera

Recently visited the Glass Flowers at Harvard, a collection of 4,300 extraordinarily realistic glass models of plants crafted by the Blaschkas, a father and son team of sculptors

That’s right, these are all made primarily of GLASS — a fact difficult to accept given how accurate & lifelike they are

I hold so much spite and indignation against the forces both evil and banal that are trying to erase us.

It's useful. Anger is a healthy response to cruelty.

I'll live long enough to piss on some graves, and you should, too.

If you are queer and suffering this moment, you must look to the future.
Look if you're trans, you have to live. Do whatever you need to do to make it.
