All right, let's do this one last time.

My name is David Clark. I was bitten by a radioactive crinoid, and for 13 years I was on the bird site as clarkeocrinus.

I'm pretty sure you know the rest.

If we learned that the Obama or Biden DOJ was casually monitoring the comings and goings of a reporter for any reason, much less b/c she was the lead reporter on all things Epstein, it would be a Watergate-level scandal but of course since it's Trump, one day (at best) and we move right along 🙃

wealthy business owners and investors saw what happened during covid when people had enough extra money and flexibility to assert their power or quit their shitty jobs. sever the tie between insurance and employment and that only compounds.
Millions of Americans remain at jobs they hate for one reason: the health insurance they receive. That’s absurd.

Universal health care will give Americans the freedom to choose the work they want without worrying about health care coverage.

Another reason for Medicare for All.

Awesome article in @science.org on @danielgeldof.bsky.social Master's thesis on the secret of the rockhead poacher’s (Bothragonus swanii) unusual cranial anatomy. Daniel did some beautiful CT scans on this odd fish's head.

Didn't you guys write this exact same story about billionaires in NYC about Mamdani only to write a 'nah SIKE' follow up like a week after he won when all the billionaires realized they don't have Zabars in like Rochester
Billionaires are considering cutting or reducing their ties to California by the end of the year because of a proposed ballot measure that could tax the state’s wealthiest residents.
A Wealth Tax Floated in California Has Billionaires Thinking of Leaving
It’s uncertain whether the proposal will reach the statewide ballot in November, but some billionaires like Peter Thiel and Larry Page may be unwilling to take the risk.

Sinatra hated racists and would have punched Miller in the mouth.

Or as Phil Hartman's impression of Sinatra put it, "I got chunks of guys like you in my stool."
Imagine watching Sinatra, son of Dolly & Antonini born in Genoa & Sicily, respectively, and Martin, son of Gaetano & Angela, born in Montesilvano, Italy & Ohio respectively, (Angela to parents born in Monasterolo, Italy), and crusading against the value of children of immigrants to the U.S.

On the 7th day of fossils, my true love gave to me....

7 Cryptolithus bellulus trilobites.

These are from the Ordovician Whetstone Gulf formation of New York. These are very thin shelled, delicate trilobites that are difficult to prepare.

On the 8th day of fossils, my true love gave to me...

8 Hyperoblastus blastoids from Milan, Michigan.

Blastoids are echinoderms related to starfish, sea urchins and crinoids. At some localities they are common. They are very rare at the Devonian Silica Shale Milan location.

On the 10th day of fossils, my true love gave to me...

A Jovacrinus clarki with 10 arms!

I mentioned on Day 1 that Clarkeocrinus is not named after me. However, Jovacrinus clarki is!

I found this early Silurian crinoid in Quebec and it was determined to be a new species.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

Here is the sponge Astraeospongium meniscus that I found in the Upper Silurian Brownsport Group in Hardin, Tennessee. You can see star-shaped Spicuels. They are made up of Calcium carbonate and serve as the "skeleton" or support structure for the sponge.
