HOLD UP. George Santos is the lead story on the @nytimes.com website on Saturday night? Not the millions of Americans protesting Donald Trump today at 2,700 events in all 50 states? Come on.

The toll of climate disasters is a direct consequence of decades of disinvestment in the communities most vulnerable to crises. @zacariasm.bsky.social reports on how many disabled & elderly residents were abandoned during California wildfires.

There are a lot of ppl who won’t engage w/ your stuff if it doesn’t have alt text. Change your accessibility settings to remind yourself! Copy-pasting text from an image is easy in the alt text window. If you don’t have capacity, ask for help & someone will hop in—just don’t ignore it as unnecessary
I'm not liking or sharing stuff w/o alt text. Disabled people are on the chopping block, show a little solidarity.

I'd probably only trust someone like Jamie Ducharme to write this one. The psychologization of severe-presenting #MECFS and #LongCOVID. Worth a read. 🧪

Props to Rivka Solomon, and other people with lived experience who spoke.

What are some things I can do/buy that will make that easier & more pleasant?
