Happy New Year for 2026.
Did you know that snowdrops contain a natural antifreeze? They also contain an alkaloid called galantamine which is used in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Poorest Britons lose right to financial privacy.

The Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Act 2025 empowers the state to 24/7 snoop on the bank accounts of recipients of universal credit; employment and support allowance; state pension credit.

No court order needed. No right of appeal.

Using disability aids as jokes to make bad politicians look weak or ridiculous is ableist.

Having to use a disability aid says nothing negative about strength of character, morals etc. Disability aids aren't bad, so no need to align them with dodgy politicians.

Oxaloacetate has been helping me as well, but the imoort duty came to about a third of the cost of the product this time. If I hadn't been bedridden I would have fallen over. It's already very difficult to afford.
Just had to pay £90 import tax on c.£230 (with discount) order of Oxaloacetate.

This pushes it into unaffordability. Yet it really does make a worthwhile difference for me. I hate how expensive ME/CFS vs the pittance of welfare from DWP vs total lack of NHS clinical support.

Cruel Britannia.

What TV series can you recommend at the moment? I've got normal TV and Netflix.
Currently watching 13 Reasons Why and although I found it interesting, probably won't go past second series. Think I'll need some cosy Christmas TV after that.
