Your reminder that even though Canada has war heros galore, a tonne of sports legends, stars of the stage and screen and many a historical colossus, we chose this kid to be our national hero. An 18 year old one-legged superman with cancer who ran a marathon a day to help rid the world of cancer.
Years ago, I used to write. I realized I wasn’t any good at all. Judging by my current Bluesky engagement and likes, I still can’t. I’m ok with that. But my one regret is had I kept at it, I too could be running a major news network.
