If you stopped masking, you can just… start again. Indoors, public spaces at least.
COVID is kind of the social marker of how we're going to do, as a society.

It's still killing people. It's still causing mass harm. Yet so few of us mask. People are going to concerts & big gatherings unmasked. Reporting "worst cold of my life" 🙄 etc.

Well how far is anti vaxx from anti mask?

Not even trying to cape for the mayor, but the "rival" budget proposal is trying to send debt collectors after people for red light tickets and ambulance fees instead of a tiny tax on huge corporations. How is this even a debate.

Chicago Teachers Union Derangement Syndrome is going to be a huge part of next year's municipal elections

(The election is technically in Feb. 2027, but the races will start in fall 2026, and the billionaires behind "Common Ground Collective" and "The Urban Center" are already sending out ads)

It is simply not an exaggeration to say that Chicago police officers refuse to stop assaulting and abusing their colleagues, the abuse functions as a form of control and retaliation within the ranks, and every "police accountability" structure has failed to meaningfully address any of it.

The mother of Chicago police Officer Krystal Rivera asked a question Thursday as she announced a wrongful death lawsuit against the Chicago Police Department and the officer who fatally shot her daughter shortly after they broke up.

“Where is justice for Krystal?”

ngl I don’t understand why people don’t just kick these over or toss them in a snow bank as a matter of course.
I came across *the* example I have been hammering with these food delivery robots.

A man with a mobility aid is forced to step aside because there is not room for him because the robot will not make room for a person (esp. those with a mobility aid who need addditional room)

You can extrapolate this tactic all the way down to local police. No matter how absurd, they’ll frame any victim of their violence as the aggressor. Even if unarmed and drowning.
I cannot imagine the level of moral bankruptcy to describe the actions of people whose boat has just been hit by a missile from nowhere (this was the FIRST such strike) and who were most likely making a desperate attempt not to drown in the ocean as trying to "stay in the fight."
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."
