When I spoke to Sakiyama in October about his case, he said the Border Patrol agents who detained him didn't seem like they were from Chicagoland.

A probable cause statement for Sakiyama's arrest named an agent Saul Rivas, from El Centro Sector in California, plus agents "R. Inglet and J. Parker."
NEW — Yet another “Operation: Midway Blitz” case has been thrown out of federal court.

Oak Park attorney Scott Sakiyama received a petty citation in October for allegedly impeding Border Patrol agents.

Magistrate Judge Heather McShain dismissed the case last month.

NEW — Sean Grayson, a former Sangamon County Sheriff’s deputy who fatally shot Sonya Massey in her home in 2024, was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Grayson had worked for six different LE agencies in Illinois over four years despite a history of misconduct.
