I've long felt this way. But I increasingly feel like the country I love doesn't exist any more. Maybe it never did.
One of the things I've learned about myself over the past 3 months is that I am an American. For good or ill, I'm invested in this country's ideals and its survival. I imprinted on the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. It's part of me now.

So the 4-chan hack happened but all the info about pass email lists and mod emails being leaked is bullshit being spread over on Twitter. Anyone who tries to get the “info” gets sent to a catbox link that holds an empty zip file. Thanks @femma.bsky.social for clarifying while I consume my coffee.
Oh, the hack was real, but people are blowing it extremely out of proportion. All the "honeypot! .gov!" shit is coming from a guy who said this.

This worries me, deeply. We may be about to have 100+ million people thankful that Trump disregarded federal law. That sets the stage for him to disregard many more.
This may be our first case in Trump 2.0 where Congress and the courts say one thing and then Trump just does whatever he wants
