My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next, Charlie Brown.

I've been "enjoying" scintillating scotomas more often recently. They're difficult to describe, and images online don't really capture it. But the first thing I thought when I saw them was "I should make a shader of this" – so here's a demo, it's pretty close: meetar.github.io/scotoma/

Titan.

Saturn's giant icy moon, almost ten time farther from the Sun than Earth, and the only outer Solar System body where liquid is stable on the surface.

That liquid? Methane/ethane, because the temperature there is ‒180°C, seen here glinting in the Sun in this Cassini image.

@bruceshark.bsky.social U went all the way around the galaxy! Twice!
It takes 225 million years or so for the Solar System to make one orbit around the galaxy. Sharks evolved long enough ago that they’ve done it twice.
Man, everything is so bleak, anyone got a fun fact or little bit of trivia they want to share
