The best advice is not about telling people what to do--it's asking questions & listening to help guide people to what they actually want out of their education. It's also a lot about helping people process their emotions around education because so many have been made to feel they don't belong.

Xmas dinner with the folx at ours. Made me move some stuff around (we’ve only been in 5 weeks). Lovely dinner given that we don’t have a cooker - single induction hob, microwave, air fryer. Well done Mick 🎄

Every day a new tech challenge with my parents. Today’s was Dad’s mouse not working with his MacBook. I said that it was likely that the dongle & mouse were not a pair. Sure enough he found the correct 2.4G dongle in the other laptop. The reason he is not using that one? He’s forgotten the password.

Update, Mum doesn’t like the fact that it plays the intro between each episode and we had a weird thing with season 2 being rent or buy, so not completely fixed
I think I might have sorted out Mum & Dad’s TV woes. Keep everything crossed

A reminder
"Taking luxury cars out of disability" saves the taxpayer ZERO. Disabled people pay the cost difference themselves.
It also means they can't get a replacement car guarantee. So if you're disabled, you won't be able to get to work if your car breaks down.

I was in IT support for about a decade and now I cannot make anything work that does not have an excellent Internet connection. No Broadband until Friday and so far I have failed to make the TV work with coax and freeview and my printer won't work with a USB cable. I might just sleep until Friday.
