This, 💯 Turn the bloody music down.
Get rid of the “entertainment” at the breaks. We are there to watch a football match and discuss what’s happened when there’s a break. Can’t hear yourself think. Someone is going to sue the AFL for a hearing issue….seriously

We can start by getting more footy feeds onto Bluesky
We asked Chat GPT the following question.

What do footy fans have to do to get the AFL to consider fan interests in major decisions affecting the game?

Chat GPT gave us the answer in photos.

Do fans agree?
What else can be done?
Is your club fan friendly asking the AFL Qs?

The captain said it had been a pleasure having me on board the plane! He was clever about it, said it as though he was addressing ALL the passengers. But when you know, you know. ❤️

The rules are clear: say nothing, speculate not at all, until we get the facts. Remember facts?
Reminder: We know practically nothing about this accident. I've seen the aircraft identified as "privately owned" which makes sense based on make/model. We don't know the PIC flight time or experience. We don't know who was maintaining the a/c. We don't know the load.

We know practically nothing.
A small aircraft carrying five people crashed in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, according to the FAA.

Sure, we'd all like a railway like 🇨🇭

Runs like clockwork, is a pleasure to use

BUT has huge state subsidy - a level that's not possible anywhere else in Europe

And in those less well funded railways - 🇩🇪🇮🇹🇨🇿 for example - *some* private operations can drive down cost and drive up passenger numbers

Absolutely
I honestly do not know how to convey to people not in aviation that two things can be true:

1. The recent accidents in DC, PA, AK, AZ and now Toronto have nothing in common; and

2. Firings at the FAA & NWS will negatively impact flight safety in the future.

The state of things: the story is awful, but so is the grammatical error. The danger cannot be OVERSTATED. Understating it is what they want you to do!
“There are currently four people remaining over there to do the work of 15 people. The danger to the national airspace can’t be understated."

"This is a very real threat to the American flying public.”

FAA Employees Say Trump and Musk's Purge Is a 'Threat' to Air Safety
Donald Trump and Elon Musk fired hundreds of Federal Aviation Administration employees. The administration argues it won’t affect air safety.

Few disagree that updating/reform of the US ATM system is a good idea, but 'move fast and break stuff' is not the playbook
The guy who "improves" cars and rockets by making them explode has been tasked with improving airline safety and I think I have a pretty solid idea how this ends

DEI programs and people with disabilities did not cause the midair collision in DC. Trump gutting the FAA did that.

But the DEI program Trump is trying to blame was started in 2019 — by Trump.

It is the only way to treat spoilt children, if you want a quiet. The better way is to call it out but US media... sigh
this is gonna be the way things work over the next few years- the admin getting like 1% of what it wants and losing almost every negotiation while the lapdog press spins every loss as a huge historic win, it's literally the modi model
Let me get this straight. Petro calls for dignified transit. Trump threatens tariffs. Petro smacks Trump in a post threatening his own higher tariffs. And Trump agrees to what Petro asked for. And yet NYT is calling this *Petro* backing down?
