This is a topic I've thought way too much on. Even just $1000 extra a month, just for me, not even counting my partner, would let me focus entirely on writing, let me stop having to crowdfund, and just breathe a lot easier.

Man, I am racking my brain trying to think of something I wish I'd written. I think the closest I get is thinking I could do something similar better? Admittedly, I have been in a serious reading slump since finishing leading the r/Fantasy Dresden Files read-along a few years ago. 😅

For me, it's JOHN DIES AT THE END by Jason Pargin. Why? Because as a Lovecraft fan and comedian, he does what I could never do and managed to make cosmic horror funny. It's like, "Why didn't I think of that?"

So it turns out I was two version of Scrivener behind. So instead of buying a new game, I bought Scrivener 3 for roughly the same price. The version I was using was last updated in 2019 sooooooo...now I've got some new shiny upgrades to figure out. AND THEMES! Granted, I'd already dark moded V1.

Kinda wanna buy a new game, if not during the current Steam sale then during the xmas sale. Kind of want to finally get Ghost of Tsushima. Kinda of want Dispatch or something in that vein. Kind of don't know what I want. I haven't bought anything new since last summer and haven't played those.

Sometimes I have to laugh that I accidentally made my own version of 40K goobery bullshit for this new book. The aesthetic fucking slaps when you want ostentacious theocratic fascists though, even if it's not a 1:1 comparison. It's the little things though, like ritual candles in an operating room.
