my country elected a fascist 10 years ago and he's now arguably the most unpopular pm we've ever had and we still can't get rid of him because once a fascist gets into power, typically you do not get them out without a whole lot of mass violence. Don't be like us.
I'm headed right now to vote for Kamala Harris. I hope you do too. I don't know how else to put this without sounding too earnest, or like an asshole, but you can't easily undo fascism. I am voting for her and expect to yell at her for good. Only under her administration is that a real possibility.

Jupyter notebooks are great for interactive work, but I'm increasingly pushing my trainees to move their important code ASAP into imported functions defined outside the notebook. I've seen too many examples of global variables wreaking having by being used inside functions.
