We have officially completed the purchase of Warleigh Nature Reserve!! 🎉

We’re getting stuck in immediately. First up is Willow propagation and cutting access to a few areas that need work in spring.

Loads more to come but for those not familiar: youtu.be/2raJT5RM6mE

Yeah & it’s really hard for men to strut & show off while doing hardly anything (& also harass young women) when working from home. So ofc his ilk want to be back in their office fiefdoms This has nothing to do with productivity & everything to do with male peacocking

Yes yes yes you work far more effectively when you’re forced onto crowded roads/buses/trains for hours every single day with strangers coughing and spluttering all over you so you can get to work knackered, frustrated, wiping out half the work force with viruses. So good for business.
BREAKING: Nigel Farage calls for an end to working from home and the focus on work-life balance

"People aren't more productive working from home - it's a load of nonsense”

Whatever you do JUST DON’T VOTE REFORM!

After destroying the final rhododendrons the volunteers and I had a little fun. We made leaky dams and quickly made a mini-wetland, with multiple secondary channels and a few ponds to help water spread throughout the soil. Great crew, brilliant outcome.
February 9, 2026 at 11:42 AM
Enjoying a quiet cup of coffee in the woods. All I can hear is a cacophony of bird song, and distant cars. No volunteers making a ruckus which… is gonna be a long busy day for little old me. 🤣

This is the man whose company Peter Mandelson's lobbying firm represents.

Keir Starmer visited its HQ last year, at the request of Mandelson, shortly before it was handed a £240m Government contract

I really enjoy the @zackpolanski.bsky.social is “a coward for not crowbarring himself into Gorton and Denton as MP” claims.

I overheard a call with Labour campaigners begging Keir Starmer not to come because he’s so wildly unpopular up there.

They’re crossing fingers Angela Rayner instead. 🤣

If I wasn’t out fighting invasive species like rhododendron I’d be out fighting invasive species like Matt Goodwin.

Keep crushing it in your communities by being good normal personable people.

I heard from a Labour campaigner Keir Starmer is not welcome because he’s so unpopular.

You got this.
The thing no one tells you about fighting the far-right?

It can be really fun - and you meet proper lovely people. Looking at you @richiebryan.bsky.social 💚

I’m calling this a juxtaposcast and I’m gonna do it more.

- Me having a rough ass time
- Me having a good as time

You get the two together because I am constantly having both a shit time and trying to do what I love. In this case: murder Rhododenrons (on no sleep).
“Aww no baby we don’t ever go to Halifax” says northern girlfriend after this Shire-ass country southerner ended up in the shadiest hotel in Yorkshire and got fuck all sleep before a big day of rhododendron bashing.
February 7, 2026 at 9:16 PM
The amazing people of Ilkley, Otley, Harrogate, and slightly further afield all rocked up to smash the destructive invasive Rhododendron out of West Wood. Tomorrow’s crew are gonna have light work because this lot exceeded expectations drastically and left us with one or two out of 80!!

If you didn’t want to boycott Barclays because of all the investing in fossil fuels and Israeli government bond auctions you can boycott them for their CEO being a scheming racist probable-pedophile. 🫡
This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.

"Just one more fascism, that'll surely save our deposit in Gorton & Denton."
Genius! Blackmail countries which have significant human rights concerns to take back people who often should not be being sent back and then celebrate it by threatening more countries with similar blackmail. Labour really is digging down with its xenophobic policies.

The right love nothing more than erasing history to push their fascist agenda and we should expect exactly the same from Reform.

Privacy experts have been fighting for safeguards around data, tracking, and sharing, and it’s not because they’re nerds. Normies have been saying “I’m not doing anything illegal so who cares” and now you get to be on a list of people who will receive “special attention” for your political views.

48v, 10kW AC output, and two broken backs worth of getting it on the wall, but the new inverter is in place. Javid is working his magic rebuilding my entire boat electronic setup and I’m mostly just sharpening machetes and making bad jokes.

When was the left running the country Keir. 🙃
Keir Starmer attacks the racism of Reform and Matt Goodwin but then adds that "Britain has also been let down by a mindset on the left of politics that is too slow to defend core British values"

Why do people think the only choice is between “drive a car everywhere” or “never drive any car anywhere for any reason”.

There’s a plethora and the whole goal of active / public transport is to help _everyone_ use their cars less, if not make them entirely redundant so you can save money.

🫡 Rob
I don't know whether Helen reads my posts here, but here goes:

> I do not regularly drive a car
> I sometimes hire or borrow a car for trips outside of Bristol
> I walk, cycle, scoot, take buses and take trains for every single journey I make in Bristol

But that's not really the point, is it?

Labour keeps talking about saving the high street without naming the real problem. Car dependency. You cannot fix town centres while planning everything around driving. The internet is permanent. Retail only survives where footfall is dense, local, frequent, and cheap to access.
Labour risks election wipeout unless it improves Britain’s high streets, study finds
Decay of town centres a top issue among voters especially Reform UK supporters and is fuelling resentment against Westminster

There was a lot of concern about HS2 knackering 0.003% of our ancient woodlands but now HS2 has been binned off and won’t go near Leeds (pffft) let’s put a dent in the real threats to our ancient woodland and mangle a bunch of invasive species with machetes and fire then probably cider.
