Have a soft spot for the England cricket team but they’ve deserved this Ashes annihilation from the off

British press was full of preening ‘this is our year’ nonsense before a ball had even been bowled

Bazball is pure ‘Global Britain’ Brexit BS. Full of exceptionalism and hot air

To genuinely listen and genuinely hear someone does not require you to then agree wholesale with what that person is saying.

Too many people think it does and they frankly need to get over themselves and realise the world doesn't revolve around them.

(I also need to remind myself of this often!)

Anyone know of a supercut version of Home Alone where all of the scenes that do NOT feature Macauley Culkin or John Candy are cut out?

Who gives a monkeys about the "plight" of the neglectful, entitled and rich parents?

I reckon it'd save at least 20 minutes of runtime.

Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Iceland went out on a high (see picture) - ROA by VAEB was my most listened to song of 2025 and that shows just how much 4 to 6 year olds loved it!

Fly them halfway around the world and make them sit indoors and watch it on TV. It's a wild world we live in. Hold the next World Cup in Iceland, I reckon.

This government has no courage to actually change things in a meaninful way.

As with the budget, the best it can do is tinker around the edges while the system gets worse.
