Good literary translation requires understanding (language, culture, genre--on both sides of the translation) and an ability to write well. "AI" can't do that. There are no shortcuts. Treat your work and foreign language readers with the respect they deserve. You won't fool anyone with this.

A big part of the right’s reaction to Mamdani’s victory is the idea that “mass migration” has transformed NYC and threatens to transform America.

But if foreigners are ruining America, then women, whose tender disposition favors so much immigration to begin with, are accomplices in that ruination.
Some on the far right want to repeal the 19th amendment. Many more share a coercive, patriarchal view of women.
