What even is the fucking point of opening a brick and mortar store if you need an employee for each customer in the store just to unlock everything
Walgreens just opened a location across from Barclays Center and honestly I’m shocked they still construct modern stores but the majority of everything is locked in cases.

Just go back to full the old school counter style store where a guy gets your items off a giant shelf using a sliding ladder.

Me: hey can I have this local craft beer

Them: sorry we only serve beer we make

*me realizing I’m in a brew pub owned by another craft brewery*

The first Siemens Airo trainset for the soon-to-be-restored Ontario Northlander service between Toronto, North Bay and Timmins, is on its way to Ontario, via Union Pacific. It’s seen here passing through Lombard, Illinois.

If your city doesn’t have a gingerbread streetcar, it celebrates the holidays less sufficiently than the Ritz-Carlton on Canal St in New Orleans.

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

If you go to a suburban mall, you will probably have to park outside and walk in. You don’t expect to drive in to your store.

But for some reason in urban areas it’s considered an injustice if you can’t park directly in front of the store you want to go to.

Schroedinger’s apartment building: simultaneously raising and lowering property values by being full of both rich and poor people.
It's very funny that in an urban context people say that apartments will destroy the neighborhood by bringing rich people in and in a suburban context people say that apartments will destroy the neighborhood by bringing poor people in. Is 'funny' the right word?
Building new housing does not destroy neighborhoods. Single family homes are the most expensive and luxurious form of housing, which is why nearly all rich people live in them.

Trump admin Is attempting to massive cut federal transit funds, seeking to:
1–Eliminate transit account, which funds billions of $ in capital expenses for transit agencies
2–Prevent state DOTs from “flexing” funds for transit

These changes, if they occurred, would be devastating for US transit.
POLITICO Pro: Trump administration proposals seek to eliminate transit funding
DOT recently sent two proposals to the White House budget office seeking to pare back transit money.
