But in reality, we're all disabled. Maybe you're in a moment of respite from it, or in that brief window before the truth of the inevitability of it has been revealed to you (sorry, spoiler warning!), but it's true for all of us — even when it's not visible. So we must default to accommodation.

I'm hoping the algo gets this to the people who need it. If you were at UVU or you saw the video, you should play Tetris. Preferably today. You don't have to be good at it.

Research tells us that playing Tetris after traumatic events helps to disrupt your brain's long term storage of the memory.

A western screech owl started hanging out in my parents carport so my dad made them a box! They moved in immediately and provide my parents with hours of entertainment when they’re around. I’m pretty jealous, not gonna lie.

COVID vaccines operate on, basically, the school year calendar. We're now in the (fall) 2025—2026 (spring) COVID season; pharmacies are now ONLY giving the 2025-2026 COVID vaccine formulation.
Does anyone know if the COVID vaxes currently available in NYC are the new, updated formula for this fall?

One of my favorite facts about this is that Del Toro was *painstakingly* crafting the fish man so that all the women in his life agreed he was hot.

He considered it a mark of success watching Octavia Spencer lean out of her chair to watch Doug Jones walk past wearing his sexy fish butt.

One thing I keep coming back to about Mamdani is that he rose from basically zero to an astonishing primary victory in just a few months in large part by refusing to nibble around the edges. He articulated a novel, sweeping, broad, positive vision, and just hammered at it. And people LOVED it.
A young person I know (M, 25) asked me last month “if we were to write a new Constitution, who would you want in the room?” Not that I think he expects that to happen soon, but it’s a data point about conversations some young folks are having.

Okay, so you want to adopt and maintain a new habit, but you have ADHD. Here's what has helped me a lot over the past year:
-make it easier to do
-make it fun and enjoyable
-remind myself why I'm doing it
-focus on persistence over consistency
-stack it onto other tasks/routines
-"just do 5 min"

NEW: Negotiations stall ahead of shutdown deadline as Democrats slam Trump for subverting spending laws

Trump's attempts to freeze money and nix agencies have damaged already fraught bipartisan talks.

Democrats say they'll use a March 14 deadline to push back.

Isn’t it weird how the word “filibuster” has disappeared since the election? Isn’t it odd that Mitch McConnell could lock down Obama’s first term but nobody can stop unelected Elon from pulling the wires out of the walls? Even if 49% of the country voted for this, what about the 48% that didn’t?!

Fentanyl is a safe and effective medication when used under the supervision of a qualified physician. Fentanyl is, for many chronically ill and disabled people, a life saving medication.

My mentions are filled with people insisting Senate Democrats are powerless.

They’re not. They can throw up roadblocks by denying unanimous consent, forcing quorum calls, using holds and filibusters, etc

It’s so easy to figure out even a dimwit like Tuberville managed to pull it off.
"Oh, but whatever could the Senate Minority Leader do to gum up the works? There's nothing he could possibly do!"
