one of the cool things @anxiousmimicrpgs.bsky.social girl frame does is - okay, two things - is the hard delineation between Handler and girl, mimicing the existing divide between GM and PC, but playing into it in a more fun, thematic way. girls don't need to worry about X, it's so good.

joke's on you, I do both of these at the same time, and while it's twice as much effort I can confirm that it barely works at all
See, the trick is that "the GM exists for the players' amusement, whose job is to ruin their plans for fun" and "the GM rules like a king, and the players exist to be their playthings" is that these SEEM like opposite maladaptive approaches to play, but they both result in the GM doing all the work.

There's something about the simple clean layout of this game that reminds me of some of the best 3rd party splat books from DnD 3.x.

There's something about the simple clean layout of this game that reminds me of some of the best 3rd party splat books from DnD 3.x.
