The women abused by Justin Tucker and Art Briles have to carry those scars for the rest of their lives. It’s not to much to ask that Tucker and Briles should, too, rather than being given chances at redemption.
Art Briles, Justin Tucker getting second chances they don't deserve
If our society valued women, Justin Tucker and Art Briles would be pariahs. Instead, they're enjoying second chances despite the harm they've caused.

It’s been almost 48 hours and we still don’t know with certainty how many people were detained on Tuesday, the grounds (if any) on which they’re being held, or what will happen next for these members of our community—all of whom have families and friends and people who love them.

This isn’t normal.

On a personal note, I’ve known Mayor Carter more than 20 years. He’s a close friend who has centered the children and families of Saint Paul in his decision-making, and I know his service to our community is not over.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he does next. Thank you, Melvin.

Was out knocking the doors today for a black mayoral candidate and had a resident say he, a white male, didn’t feel represented by city leadership because “no one in the mayor’s office or on City Council looks like me or *even* like you” (I’m a white woman). 1/x

Incredibly brave of Napheesa Collier to call out the flaws she sees in the W’s leadership in this way. She established herself as one of the most powerful voices and leaders in the league with Unrivaled and this is further proof of her willingness to publicly demand better.

As everyone has said but it's still worth saying again: this is incredible from Collier. Holy moly.
Napheesa Collier's full statement at the beginning of her exit interview.

She directly quotes conversations with Cathy Englebert that legitimately call into question how the WNBA is being led. (Part 1/2) #WNBASky

I would love for a reporter with an established history/relationship with Sophie to ask her which of Charlie Kirk’s messages she agreed & disagreed with.

I.E. “reject feminism,” “prowling Blacks,” Black women lacking “brain processing power.”

Not in an antagonistic way, asking her with curiosity.
