Because of a pre-cancerous mass they found in my colon, I had to have surgery to get it removed and thanks to my work insurance AND qualifying for low income assistance, I did find myself destitute.

I don't like my odds for next year.
Also if you get insurance through your employer and are sighing a deep breath of relief (while obviously still giving a shit about this issue)

understand your insurance through your employer can go up as well, and coverage offered lessened.

And if you lose your job and can't quickly find another

Free the bug!
Wow, apparently UCPD arrested 4 people for felony vandalism for allegedly hanging up a cardboard bug and putting up posters. 3 are held on $20k bail, 1 on $10k bail.

I told you that a bunch of these Democrats secretly wanted this bill, but they didn't have to vote yes bc 8 of them fell on the sword. The rhetoric coming from Dems right now is despicable. It's insulting.

Remove Schumer. Work to fix this. You all have destroyed trust and so many lives.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Yes, AND you can damn the eight senators who sold out to him.
I will not let people forget that the same Republicans who did everything in their power to make tax breaks for billionaires PERMANENT refused to even negotiate ONE YEAR of health care tax credits for working families.

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

This is not what they actually say. This is what they used to say, in the long ago before times when Shaheen learned to do politics. There is no kumbaya median voter anymore. The question you get knocking doors is not "why can't you all just work together?" it's "why didn't / will you fight harder?
Shaheen: "When I talk to my constituents in New Hampshire, you know what they say to me? They say, 'Why can't you all just work together to address the problems that are facing this country?'"

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

This is why this surrender isn't just about this narrow issue but is rather the whole constitutional ballgame:

Democrats are affirmatively signaling they do not want political power at the same time Trump is transitioning the political system into an autocratic one wherein they're denied it forever
Not that he didn’t already know, but now Trump knows for sure he can roll the Dems every time and there’s no need to negotiate for anything
