Making permits make sense, at least in San Francisco. DOGE'd from 18F.

This administration is going to crash, and we are going to get ONE CHANCE to fix things with massive structural reform. We have to start building support for that now. If we miss this moment more competent fascists will take power in the election after Dems win, and there will be no coming back.

How about uh, talking to other parents (or a pediatrician??) about this whole parenting thing? Even my super introverted hermit dev husband realized he needs a village to do this parenting thing properly, especially with a social kid.

I swear, these AI tech bros hate people so much.

So what RFK Jr. did instead is spit in his face by leaving the statement there and adding this:

A couple of climate wonks who I generally quite respect were arguing for NEPA reform on Ezra Klein’s podcast last month.

Their basic argument is that wind and solar are now SO cheap that if you do permitting reform, it’ll benefit renewables way more than fossil fuels.

And, well…
Breaking News: The Trump administration ordered construction to stop on a $4 billion wind farm off the coast of Rhode Island that has already mostly been built.

it was always obvious DOGE was decorative "innovative efficiency" cover for the brutal dismantling of corporate oversight and the social safety net, but the press spent first six months of the year propping it up as a good-faith effort
“.. DOGE increasingly looks like a giant joke as the initiative winds up saving essentially zero dollars for US taxpayers .”

Using the American flag to symbolic effect at protests against the Musk/Trump regime isn’t appealing to fascism, and it is incredibly counterproductive and stupid to believe to is.
