hi friends, I’m so thrilled @publicgood.tech is on BlueSky! I've been a board member since 2021 & I care deeply about this org: the only one dedicated to supporting the people who do the very hard work of civic tech

I think this is somewhat easier when your baby is shaped like a seal lmao

(amazing video & photos, timeline cleanse)
I saw a live birthed harbor seal pup for the first time in my life today. I thought it would be horrifying because I have a weak stomach, but it turned to UNGODLY CUTE very fast!

Using this thread for some moments in the minutes after. All shot on my z8, edited on phone for now. 🦭 🦑

wow
“When Citizens United was decided in 2010, billionaires had spent $18 million on the 2000 election, $13M 2004 and $16M in 2008. Then came the deluge. In 2012 it was $231M, and nearly doubled again in next three election cycles —to $682M in 2016, $1.2 billion in 2020 and $2.6 billion in 2024.” Gift:

I just spent a couple hours in the whistle inbox, inputting 39 requests. They ranged from 100 for a lady who wants to give them out at church to 3,000 for a large union. All over the country, but one common refrain: I want to help.

Thanks for helping us do this. 💓
