the revolution is still going to need hr managers, and diversity training videos. corporations aren’t unique, and having people assigned to managing conflict is a required part of trying to accomplish big goals with a team

we’re all special snowflakes, and sometimes we don’t get along
I bring up Signal in the sense of “you can start your own smaller Signal chat to work things out with somebody, or wherever else you want to talk to them.”

Signal itself is extremely beside the point.

As another friend pointed out to me, this is also a place where it’s good that Bluesky is still pretty small and niche: at least *fewer* people are seeing the infighting.

But I believe the infighting is, if not desirable, also pretty typical and expected.

critical support to the Comrade Shitposters, deploying our culture and rituals for change 🫡
“We put him in a lose-lose situation,” the Minnesota woman says. “He could’ve kept talking and we would make fun of his voice, or he shuts up and we looked like we shut him down."

It is your patriotic duty to mock these people. Mercilessly.
The power of mocking Trump’s pathetic monsters
It's impossible to ignore the administration's blend of violent repression and overwhelming cringe.

I hadn’t known this. Two men who were accused of sexual abuse on the Shitty Media Men document that I created back in 2017 reached out to Michael Wolff for help as they looked to sue me, and Wolf forwarded their concerns to Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein offered to help. www.jmail.world/thread/EFTA0...

people hate change, and doubly so when the change makes demands of them personally that require changes to their status and perks
I think the dynamic very much smells of "guy who's been working for the democratic party in Brooklyn for 30 years mad at the Mamdani supporters coming in and not respecting the dues he's paid", the thing is that guy doesn't actually command divisions

On the flip side, whenever I create a Primary Document even if it's like "here is a picture of a weird bottle cap I saw on the ground" people react like I personally handed them an ice cold dr pepper. So that's good! There is a way forward

Okay, here's how we address it. We keep the natural gas generators we currently have and turn them into backup generators.

I really think that you are imagining a future where we go all in on solar and I don't know why we'd have to do that.

“affordable big battery” is *the* most unbelieveable advancement in my lifetime. not that long ago, a house-sized battery was the exclusive domain of state actors
Let me see if this helps:

I bought a car. That car happened to come with a battery pack which is large enough to power my entire home for a couple of days.

That's not even why I bought the car. And yet me, an individual, was able to afford a battery that large.

In addition to that, smartphone batteries are lasting so much longer. I am using a 5-year-old phone as a business line and it still works fine.

Batteries have gotten amazing and cheap! Yet somehow, despite all the evidence everywhere, a good lot of people somehow aren't convinced.

Is breaking them, even. Those guys in MN hate their lives right now. They wake up from nightmares of loud whistles & crowds screaming "GO HOME!" They eat their shelf-stable food because nobody will serve them if they try to go out. They're not getting the bonuses they promised. America is winning.

Those who know me may have heard me say that when I picture Assigned Media's audience I picture two people - one is the cis parent of a trans kid, the other is a trans anarchist.

In light of that, I am ridiculously pleased to have brought this full throated defense of anarchism to Assigned Media.
When anarchism isn't being villified as evil it's being dismissed with an eyeroll by people who think they know better. But in Minneapolis, we're seeing the power of this maligned philosophy.

Today on Assigned: The argument for anarchism, by Emma Arcadia.

Minneapolis Shows Us Anarchism at Work — Assigned
The trans community should look to Minneapolis as an example of how leaderless, bottom-up organizing can be more powerful than traditional politics in making change.
