Curtis Yarvin wrote that “as the crappy govts we inherited … are smashed, they shld be replaced by a global spiderweb of…independent mini-countries, each governed by its own…corporation w/o regard to the residents’ opinions.” This reminds me of DOGE, “Network States,” & “Freedom Cities.” You? 1/

Given everything happening right now, I updated this article with options for weather apps, web forms, and translation services — along with some tweaks to existing categories.

I hope it helps your transition off US tech!
Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies.

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!
Getting off US tech: a guide
I’m in the process of dropping US tech services. Here’s how I did it, and options you should consider.

The people who most loudly complain "Why can't these immigrants just stay in their country???" are the same ones who most loudly celebrate American military and CIA interventionism in these countries to overthrow their governments.

And they lack the self awareness to understand their own hypocrisy.

The US invasion of Venezuela is a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter. Celebrating the capture of Maduro, Donald Trump went further, calling it an “attack on sovereignty” itself.

Countries the world over must work together to rein in the United States before it’s too late.
The United States is a rogue state
Donald Trump’s “attack on sovereignty” in Venezuela has terrible consequences for the world

You can’t report illegal acts because you don’t want to compromise them being carried out is an interesting take, if true
NYT, WaPo learned of the secret US raid on Venezuela soon before it was scheduled to begin but held off publishing what they had at the administration's request to avoid endangering US troops

Impeachment should be tried and tried again and then turned into a major campaign issue for November to secure the margins necessary to successfully oust the lawless President from the White House

Not that crazy IMO

➡️ The Republican-run Supreme Court has ruled the President can't be prosecuted for doing crimes in office

➡️ The Republican-run Congress has decided Trump's the boss and they are mere spectators

Historically, tell a guy he's a god-king with no consequences and this is the result
News: Gang of Eight in Congress were only notified about Trump's Venezuela operation after it began, source familiar tells me. That means the heads of the Intelligence Committees in Senate and House were *not* consulted. Just crazy.

“Trump’s reckless action should finally lay to rest his always misleading characterisation of himself as a “global peacemaker”. It’s high time Keir Starmer and other European leaders publicly recognise him for what he is – a global warmaker, a universal menace.”

Billionaires wanting to take their toys and leave everyone else behind is pretty much the Network State cult in a nutshell.

Problem is: all of their visions require our destruction. That’s why “so what“ doesn't work. This is an existential struggle: a handful of billionaires vs everyone else.

Just think about how selfish one would need to be to have billions of dollars and oppose paying a tiny percentage so that people can have food, education, health care. Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

Of course they won't leave in response to the tax, but if they do, good riddance.
Talk of California’s ‘billionaire tax’ sparks social media class war, threats of tech exodus
While supporters suggest the proposed tax is needed to fund health care, critics call the ballot proposition an effort to “destroy tech in California.”
