It appears they don't like whistles
Oh they don’t like the whistles? Hey everyone, they don’t like the whistles. If you use them it makes the armed goons sad.
Kristi Noem is mad that protesters are blowing whistles at ICE agents.

"Blackstone, with the help of their cheerleader, Daniel Lurie, seems poised to turn the counterculture capital of California into America’s eviction epicenter."
Why is Lurie Courting The Most Evil Company in Real Estate?
Exploring Daniel Lurie's controversial connection to Blackstone, the real estate giant, and the hidden tensions between corporate interests and public sentiment in San Francisco.

Yet another example that SFYIMBY is a conservative politicalPAC not a housing org. Sherrill votes to make rich people richer & criminalize poverty so they support him even if (because?) he blocks housing in rich neighborhoods. Meanwhile their astroturf network vilifies advocates for affordable homes
How one lawmaker is shielding wealthy neighborhoods from mayor’s housing plan
Supervisor Stephen Sherrill nets endorsements for his reelection after submitting targeted exemptions to Lurie’s Family Zoning Plan.

This is a bizarre take from the Chronicle. Lurie appointed an inexperienced loyalist — the Trump strategy.

The lesson he should learn is to vet candidates and appoint people with the skills/experience to do the job. Given that he’s been purging commissions of independent experts, that’s unlikely.
After the Alcaraz fiasco, Mayor Lurie should stop trying to appease Sunset District activists
OPINION: Mayor Lurie should learn from his mistakes in picking Beya Alcaraz to replace recalled Supervisor Joel Engardio — and stop pandering to activists in the Sunset.

Good to see some mainstream media coverage of this in SF:

"That's the quiet corruption corroding modern philanthropy: the ability to give as a license to impose one's will. It's a kind of moral laundering, where so-called benevolence masks self-interest."
The Price of Philanthropy: Big-money gifts often come with strings attached
A war is being waged by the wealthy. Billionaires with millions of dollars to give are battling to see who can give away the most money, and there's evidence that it usually comes with strings attache...

San Francisco should buy up these units to stabilize existing tenants and create permanently affordable homes
One of S.F.'s largest landlords could lose up to 428 units of housing
Mosser Living, a California real estate giant with 3,500 units, could lose more than 400 in San Francisco after financial trouble.

These small, evil men will never understand that their violence makes them look weak, not strong. Throwing tear gas at random people doesn't make Bovino appear fearless—just like a sad, scared little bully.
"'We all got really upset by that, at least we did at first,' the sister said. 'But you know what he says? He goes: "I will not show fear. It's a demonstration that I am not going to cower and hide. I have a job to do and it's going to get done".'"

How do the other reporters around him just ignore these gross outbursts toward their colleagues?

I think there is sometimes a misunderstanding that the Democrats are drawn to writers like Ezra Klein, Matt Yglesias and Noah Smith because they represent some kind of liberal vanguard, while the real reason is that these are all ostensibly liberal writers, whose main gripes are with the left.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

“The least a man can do at such a time is to declare himself and tell where he stands…I am in love with freedom…I am deeply suspicious of people who are beginning to adjust to fascism and dictators merely because they are succeeding in war. From such adaptable natures a smell rises. I pinch my nose”
Gregory Bovino is exactly who E.B. White — author of 'Charlotte's Web' — warned us about
DHS named its North Carolina anti-immigrant effort "Operation Charlotte's Web." In 1940, White wrote of the "smell" that "rises" from those who "adjust to fascism" over freedom.
