Loevy plays a video of a woman's arrest. Hewson says the woman was "assaultive" because she kicked a can of tear gas that had been deployed.

Loevy: "When you tear gas somebody … and they try to kick the tear gas canister away from them, that's assaulting?"

Hewson: "Yes."

And it’s like the author doesn’t even know the basic facts. She writes, “perhaps most crucially, both are political outsiders.” Zohran was a state legislator. Lurie had never held political office.

Another gem: “Understandably, many Dems have reservations about Mamdani. How [he] plans to achieve his wildly ambitious ideas remains unclear—and whether those ideas should be implemented is another thing. But Mamdani does represent the future of the Democratic Party. And so does someone like Lurie”
