I appreciate that people are shocked on our behalf but also I'm never surprised by the depth, persistence, and consistency of racism in North America.
You mean to tell me an American white woman called a Black child a slur and the internet gave her hundreds of thousands of dollars??
Trying not to let the doom win but stories like this make me struggle with how fucking disgusting people can be.
I can't imagine how BIPOC folks feel seeing this...

as a parent with a pre-teen (feels weird to refer to them as that, they grow up way too fast), this was a difficult watch. but it was an engaging story with some fantastic acting, and the one-shot episodes give it a distinct feeling too. highly recommended!
If you are a parent, especially of teens/pre-teens, you should DEFINITELY check out Adolescence on Netflix. Not for the faint of heart, but WOW, what an incredible series. A look into the toxic masculinity that boys are being indoctrinated with and the harm that can come from it. 10/10

yup. i paused it multiple times to catch small details. and don't visit any of the severance subreddits if you value your time, haha. but a lot of very interesting theories there.
I love how Netflix is dumbing down its shows so that people can still scroll their phones while watching, meanwhile I’m trying to pause Severance at exactly 41:52 to try to decipher some code.

nothing quite says christmas like watching your 10 year old do the macarena with some of his friends during the school christmas concert. proud dad moment, haha. and they also apparently got permission from their teacher to do it too.

We went and watched the landing and take off. Was a little late for the landing so ran into the Royal Canadian Aircraft Museum for a nice view of it parked. Was very cool to see!
