That said it’s good they killed 4o, fuck that

This is Jeff, a monster from a video game named The Cycle: Frontier

Jeff was the community nickname for him. “Marauder” was the real name.

Anyway when the game shut down I was mildly sad that, in a sense, Jeff had died.

Anyway the stuff around 4o is weird but on some level I do understand it

I played the original marathon when it came out, I owned every game Bungie ever made from halo 3 previously. The only Bungie games I never played are Gnop, ODST, and Destiny 1 lmao

It is very odd to have today be like “ha ha yeah an AI did a callout post over open source drama” and then a few hours later being like “oooo Marathon open servers let’s gooo”

Play in Server Slam from Feb 26 - Mar 2. The Server Slam is a slice of Marathon’s gameplay. Enough to get comfortable, not enough to see everything.

“Hyperreality” was a 35 year long sociological experiment conducted by Université Paris Nanterre. The study is now complete, thank you for your time.

i have so many feelings about this and so little time to express them right now

but it's certainly A Thing and it's kind of amusing to see terrible people losing their minds about it
the xlibre guy is forking git to remove Rust from it

why do all of these people have the same set of beliefs. x good. Wayland bad. Trans people bad. C good. Vaccines bad. rust bad. Etc etc

i had made one off of all of my tweets. it was fun for a while

then it said some rude shit to one of my best friends. i didn't like that. i turned it off.

thinking about that again today. for some reason.

The ai debate on here is wild. There are a lot of anti-ai people who think it's crazy that anyone could be pro-ai, there are a few pro-ai people who think it's crazy that anyone could be anti-ai, and a middle group trying to realistically assess the situation. All three seem to hate each other

This is what the gop is going to face for the next 3 years. Stuttering delusional old white guys dumbfounded when someone replies “of course I am in favor of my constitutional rights, why do you hate this country?” every time they assert the secret police should be able to kill you for talking back.
RON JOHNSON: Did you ever encourage people to go out there and exercise their First Amendment rights?

KEITH ELLISON: I freely admit being in favor of the First Amendment

fwiw i do hear this one from time to time. but yeah i would expect it to be a bit larger. i think it doesn't get a lot of attention because a lot of critical folks are more in the "never use" mindset and so sort of reject the premise here

i don't think the average is anywhere over 200, but the people i know who do pay something like 1k/month have like, two claude and a codex account, that kind of thing
