Genuinely happy that the 7 year long development time was spent working at a leisurely pace, spending time with their families and flexing their creative muscles - with no pressure to expand their company, deliver sooner or read a single reddit post. Smartest people in our entire industry.
BREAKING: Silksong will be out on September 4. Two weeks from today. Really.

Often, games that take 7+ years to make are plagued by mismanagement and painful burnout. But for Silksong? Team Cherry was having a blast. They still are.

This is their story: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...
Why ‘Silksong’ Took Seven Years to Make
The highly anticipated indie game has been in production for so long that it’s become an internet meme

(steam sale rec thread is what's up)

as always, i focus primarily on older, obscure, and just plain weirder games, as big name titles don't need the help.

so, onwards!

Apropos nothing in particular, there used to be a tradition in Britain of people roleplaying Robin Hood and doing unruly things.

This became so popular in the sixteenth century, the Scottish Parliament banned it. A few years later, a crowd elected a Robin, broke into a jail and freed everyone.

Hey y'all, here's how to make BlueSky require alt text on your images so you don't forget, and also enable the option to show larger alt text buttons on images if needed.

Alt text is an accessibility tool to describe visual media to blind and low vision people. You should always use it. 💜
