Always been interesting to me that Stardew Valley, a game with a real thread of strange folk horror weirdness running through it, inspired a generation of indie games that only emulated the surface level aesthetic and nothing deeper

Games shouldn't cost $100. Games should in fact cost £2, come on a cassette tape, only run on a 20kg computer that you could only buy in Britain in the 1980s, and be made over the course of six months by two 19 year-olds known only as "The Whizzy Brothers".

Watching Celebrity Traitors UK and getting wound up at Stephen Fry saying, "As the greatest detective of all time, Sherlock Holmes, once said-"
Sherlock Holmes isn't real. You can't do that. It's like saying the greatest long distance runner of all time is Sonic the hedgehog.

Feels like we're at a point of total cultural apocalypse where "Steam games with pronouns are banned from sale in the US" feels like it has a non-zero chance of happening by the year's end.
The CEOs of Discord, Reddit, Twitch, and Steam have been invited to testify before Congress about the radicalization of online forum users

Happy big game drop day to Team Cherry, the smartest people in the game industry!
Genuinely happy that the 7 year long development time was spent working at a leisurely pace, spending time with their families and flexing their creative muscles - with no pressure to expand their company, deliver sooner or read a single reddit post. Smartest people in our entire industry.
BREAKING: Silksong will be out on September 4. Two weeks from today. Really.
Often, games that take 7+ years to make are plagued by mismanagement and painful burnout. But for Silksong? Team Cherry was having a blast. They still are.
