Watched the first three episodes of Heated Rivalry today, and it's...not very hot or interesting so far? By cutting out nearly all the ice hockey, it doesn't really explore the homosexual tension and taboo in men's contact sports or say anything interesting about men and masculinity.

If "AI" was being built, used, and planned for in responsible ways--the way a civilization designed to enhance human thriving would do--then a lot more people would be enthusiastic about its potential. But the people in charge of defining what AI will be are the fucking worst short-term scumbags.

I firmly believe that half of where we are with people saying quiet parts out loud is because people were met with awkward silence instead of polite but firm accountability and felt emboldened.

Due to recent discussions: when I worked at a library, I was trained on how to politely but directly respond to unwanted sexual comments. Unfortunately commonly-marketed fantasies about librarians mean it happens a lot.

Sure, something like ChatGPT just regurgitates a remix of what's been put into it, but I mean...if what it's been (illegally) eating is all of humanity's creative and scientific output, then chances are it's a better regurgitation than a lot of humans (myself included) can manage on many topics.

Had a lot of fun making this prop for an RPG (Five Hundred Year Old Vampire). It's an FDM print covered with a mixture of tiling grout, fine sand, glue, and paint, sprayed with a rust effect spray and then extensively touched up with miniature acrylics. Really happy with how it turned out! #ttrpg

Aina kun puhutaan "kannustavasta työvoimapolitiikasta" tai "kannustavista toimista", pitää muistaa, että kannustus ei tarkoita tässä sitä, miten ihmiset kannustavat toisiaan, vaan sitä, miten ratsastaja hallitsee ja ohjaa hevosta kannuksilla.
Muutenkin taloustieteilijät voisi ottaa ihan inasen päätä pois omasta anaalista ja katsella maailmaa ympärillään. Tässä on nyt "kannustavaa työvoimapolitiikkaa" toteutettu kolme vuotta ja tulokset on kaikkien nähtävillä. Ehkä voisi kokeilla muutakin kuin raippaa

Tää kasvava asunnottomuus on Suomelle käsittämättömän häpeällistä. Samaan aikaan rustataan uusia leikkauslistoja, ja mietitään, saisiko kaikkein köyhimmiltä vielä jotain pois. Hyvinvoivan keskiluokan (oma viiteryhmäni) ja sitä rikkaampien tää meininki pitäisi maksaa, meillä on siihen varaa.
