Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Wow - this guy must be really, REALLY bad with money if an extra £208 per month will “ruin” his retirement.

Let’s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

Because this does NOT add up!

No, this is not a “poor pensioner” scrabbling around for pennies…

Klopp was a master of manipulating emotion: acknowledging, amplifying and directing emotion towards winning. Not his only skill (he was underrated in terms of tactical setup and sports science) but a v important part of his genius as a manager. By the time he left he was emotionally burned out! 1/..

Using Golden Ticket to describe people who have fled war and destitution to legally seek asylum. An internationally recognized legal right that the UK is treaty bound to recognize is pure cruelty and evil. It is the language of Nazis, of deportations, of camps and life unworthy of life. Evil.

Dear Mahmood/Labour,

Once the strutting fascist, Yaxley Lennon, is taking credit for your policies, you must know you’ve completely lost your way. You need to get your head out of your arse and your account off X.

Yours
The real silent (fair-minded and ignored) majority of the UK
Tommy Robinson is claiming credit for the language/policy being used by the Labour government (about deporting people found to be refugees once their home country is deemed safe)

Have to say I find the proposals to take away the route to permanent settlement of refugees both shocking and repulsive. It's code for 'whatever you do and contribute you can never become one of us so we won't allow you to try.' Racism, pure and simple.

Reflecting on yesterday’s game, City outplayed us, no question, and they deserved the win, Liverpool have balanced and intensity issues. I’m really not bothered by the winning and losing, treat those two imposters just the same, but I have very grave concerns around the officiating. #LFC #YNWA

I hear there’s an argument going on in the UK right now about whether or not Donald Trump incited the crowds to violence around January 6th. Apparently the BBC in a documentary showed edits of his speech that misrepresented what he said.

Wikipedia says Shaheen is an academic. BBCQT implies you can’t trust what she says b/c she’s an ‘activist’. Someone who Wikipedia calls ‘a former academic’ who now campaigns for Reform & wants to be its first Home Secretary is an ‘academic & author’ who you can trust. Maybe they use Grokipedia now.

Katie Lam has made a video - focusing on not giving new ILR grants to people who don't have it

But quietly including the Conservative proposal to be the first government since Idi Amin in 1972 to revoke the permanent leave to remain, then expel: she underplays to what extent

Why can I remember no Labour politician making this point, this well?

Everybody except the Greens seems to think the best way to fight Reform is to agree with Farage about everything.

This, right here, is brilliant. And genuinely patriotic. And so, so true.

Quality article by @andrewduffeu.bsky.social on a royal commission on Brexit.

Essentially there are two chapters to this.

The first is addressing the effect of Brexit on the UK.

The major issue is the lack of an established truth that Brexit was a mistake in public and across WM.

My dissertation made this point. Technology is in the hands of two movements (Christian Nationalism and TESCREAL) who are both guided by apocalyptic eschatology. These are people for whom everything is a battle for the final end. Which *they want*. Law, policy, regulations, and you are in their way.
I can't believe this is real. Literally Thiel is saying the antichrist is anyone who wants to regulate technology.

Farage reckons kicking legal migrants out of the country will save "£234bn".

So I did the sums, taking into account % of immigrants vs natives who are working, paying tax, claiming benefits, average salaries etc.

If Farage is right about immigrants, then natives would cost Britain £1.92 trillion.
