Okay well I don't want to pay £60 a month for gas, I guess it's ok if I go hose it out of someone else's car, right?
RIGHT?

a big runoff last night, in New Orleans:

Calvin Duncan was exonerated after spending *28 years* in prison; he tried to get his own case records from the New Orleans city clerk—but the office dragged its feet.

So Duncan ran to become city clerk himself, and yesterday ousted the incumbent.

And those of us who are old enough to have hit “queer elder” status are mostly trying to figure out what the fuck that even means. They let so many of the folks who would have been OUR guides and mentors die. All we can do is our best to try and pick up the pieces.
A few weeks ago I was talking politics with a local, highly straight, bartender.

All the sudden he said: “Well, I think a big part of the problem is that so many of the people who would’ve been our progressive leaders died of AIDS & can’t help us now.”

And I’ve thought about that every day since.

This is why AI is so dangerous

Financial institutions will use it to scrape the web to discriminate against you — yes, YOU — and debank you

Today, it’s for being an adult VA

Tomorrow, for being trans? Gay?

Eight senators who are all either retiring or otherwise not up for reelection in next year’s midterms.

Sure Chuck. Real big coincidence there that these specific folks would fall on their very safe sword to pass a terrible bill when no one vulnerable did. He needs to resign.

As eight senators in Chuck Schumer's caucus broke ranks to side with Republicans and vote to end the government shutdown fight he had engineered, the New York Democrat was on the phone trying to make it clear it wasn't his fault.

Newsom is a gladhanding lying weasel and ALWAYS has been. He latches onto things he thinks will get him votes, and thinks that he's the presumptive Dam presidential candidate. Fucker is NOT, not in his wildest dreams.

I see him useful as a thorn in Trump's side, but he is a trash human being.

benefits to donating:
- temporary break from work and responsibilities as you convalesce
- badass scar
- you grow your own organ back, that’s kinda cool
- good karma
- you save my life

HOLY SHIT. They found the genes for fibromyalgia - and it's *not* autoimmune, it's the central nervous system. It's very cool to see some progress made on the thing that's ruined my life since late teenage years!

'Additionally, certain risk loci overlapped with long covid (BPTF) and ME/CFS (OLFM4, RABGAP1L/GPR52), two poorly characterised disorders, albeit with different lead variants.'

Hey. This is the BEST POSSIBLE SEASON to badger Visa and Mastercard into fucking off about their shitty fake-moral-panic over LGBTQ+ spending habits and content on retail platforms.

Fuck ALL THE WAY OFF, VISA and Mastercard. No one wants to hear jack shit from you. You're a fucking receipt printer.
Please continue making calls to Visa and Mastercard, because they are working alongside conservative legislators to crack down on free speech and expression!

A dual pronged offense requires a dual pronged defense!
#SaveSpeech

starting Nov 1st we're entering the holiday season, which is a big stress point for big businesses like Mastercard and Visa. These Paypros havent stopped cracking down on Adult Content, so we need to jump back into calling them in full force again!
