I'm a non-presenting trans woman wandering on the net; I'm part of the SF, Comic, Fantasy, Role-Playing & Furry fandoms, and mostly I want to make people happy. FYI, I'm 60. :P

I block and report bots and trolls on sight. And sometimes go a-huntin.

I don't know if non-lawyers understand how insane this statement is. I honestly can't think of anything remotely comparable in non-lawyer speak. I guess the closest would be a surgeon saying "Imagine if I had to wash my HANDS before doing surgery!"

ICE tear gassed a bunch of children on Saturday. This was a massive escalation of force. They were shooting tear gas at the back of the crowd, it took these unmasked people maybe 3-5 minutes in the cloud of tear gas to escape in without trampling. www.theverge.com/policy/87278...

I want to talk about MAGA/Trump supporters, the Epstein files & a model of human behavior called "cultural cognition."

Cultural cognition says that no-one interprets facts & evidence neutrally.

They filter them through VALUES.
What Is Cultural Cognition, and Why Does It Matter?
By all accounts, we currently live in a polarized political state in which virtually every fact is contestable. From climate change to vaccine efficacy, people feel free to choose their own facts to s...

I commend County Executive Ball & local leaders in Howard Co for working to block ICE's attempt to set up another detention facility in Maryland.

We saw the inhumanity of ICE's operation in Baltimore & Marylanders have made clear: we do not want these facilities in our state.

I thought the entire point of the subscription model was to force the customer base to keep paying for the program that they already paid for?

Did Adobe really think people kept paying for Animate for the hope of NEW FEATURES?!
Called and spoke with Adobe customer support and the guy told me Adobe is discontinuing Animate because apparently the company can't think of any new features to add to the program and they feel it's gotten stale.

So they're just GETTING RID OF IT???
