A Border Patrol agent was caught on video telling another to throw tear gas “for fun,” according to a court filing. They also mocked protesters and residents who were getting gassed.

Why do I think it’s still worth showing up to vote?

Because if it didn’t matter they wouldn’t keep trying to destroy elections.

HOLD THESE PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE.

Sick of hearing voting doesn’t matter. Vote AND bitch about the system.
Show up to their meetings and town halls. Show THEM the ire and frustration.

Apathy is being weaponized.
Schiff voted to confirm Brooke Rollins, Trump’s head of the USDA.

And now Rollins refuses to release emergency funds for SNAP.

But Schiff acts like he’s just another guy posting on the internet and not a sitting senator who voted for this.
The law is clear.

As USDA’s own staff earlier agreed.

And now the law is upheld.

Donald Trump cannot withhold SNAP food assistance to inflict even more pain during his shutdown.

Note: while not unprecedented, it’s actually pretty rare for a sitting Catholic bishop to participate in a demonstration. It’s just not generally what Catholic bishops do.

Thus: Getting the hierarchy involved in this protest outside an ICE facility is no small thing.
Chicago Auxiliary Bishop José María Garcia-Maldonado at ICE detention facility: “Being here is an act of holiness…soon we will seek access to the facility to bring the Eucharist to our brothers and sisters; if they say no again, we will keep praying.”

You literally can only buy food that you have prepare yourself with SNAP cards. You aren’t allowed to buy stuff like rotisserie chicken, fast food, etc or non food items.

Ron Johnson is a lying POS.
ROB SCHMITT: People are using SNAP benefits to get their nails done, to get their weaves and their hair. This is a really ugly program.

SEN. RON JOHNSON: That program needs to be dramatically reformed.
