Chris Mason is a profoundly unserious man who writes about politics as if it were a video game with no real consequences. True to form, this article is purely about optics. Not a single policy is mentioned

Chris Mason: Reform conference shows party's growing ambition like never before - BBC News
The conference feels like that of a big party - but retains the insurgency vibe that the party is seeking to channel.

I have never been so disappointed in a BBC piece. Breathless admiration is, as far as I knew, not the role of the BBC’s political editor when describing a party political conference. Description+detail yes, rigorous examination of the conference content, yes. This, absolutely no, in my opinion.

Can folks do me a favor?

I was on Bluesky early & it was great. Mostly. I hit the eject button in January.

I came back, many colleagues are here, but still don’t know I am.

I co-created Halt and Catch Fire. I write TV & comics.

Here’s two favorite set photos.

Repost? I am in the wilderness.

@gralefrit.bsky.social You have to see these! A friend of mine has been collating a series of images entitled "Things my students have written turned into Philomena Cunk quotes" and they're just glorious.

The original radio version of Room 101 never seems to get heard enough. It was definitely one of the biggest influences on Looks Unfamiliar through the combination of the guests' highly personal esoteric experiences and Nick Hancock's baffled disdain.

Selachii and Venturi as rival houses in the Discworld novels. First mentioned in the 90s. I didn't put it together that Selachii meant shark and the venturi effect is how jets work until the early 2010s.
What’s the slowest burn on you realising something? I think with me it’s working out what the “lithic” in Neolithic means which - despite me reading the word at a bare minimum thousands of times *and* me being aware of other connected lith words - just didn’t click until about 18 months back.

To British MPs that follow me, this is a brazen violation of the Online Safety Act. Please ensure the rule of law is enforced against Elon Musk and X.

No business should be above the law.

When he took off the headpiece the horse got upset and insisted that he put it back on, which made the horse happy again. Now the horse isn't allowing him to remove any piece of the costume
