Ok how much did the military lose. The USPS is not a business
cnn.com CNN @cnn.com · 13d
The USPS faces a tight squeeze. With fewer people using the mail, it’s lost more and more money: $9 billion in the 12 months ending in September alone.

WHO GIVES A DAMN?

It’s a public service, right there in the name. It exists as a public good for all the people in this country. It’s not supposed to turn a profit, you dolts.

Go audit the Pentagon and see what kind of return on investment we’re getting there.

The time to demand Bondi’s resignation or impeachment is NOW. Press them hard, put them on the defensive, and make this a key issue in the midterms.

It highlights everything wrong with the GOP — cult like loyalty to Trump, complete lawlessness, elite entitlement, etc.
#EpsteinCoverup is so blatantly hamfisted, it's political malpractice if Dems don't attack full bore: Impeach Bondi as the means to make it a defining issue next year in run-up to midterms.
Removing this obviously distributed-a-billion-times photo of Trump w/Melania, Epstein, & Maxwell from the DOJ release of files only points out the FBI team's foolish, slapdash attempt to cover up *any existence* of the adjudicated sexual assaulter FOTUS in them.

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

Elon Musk is worse at hiding it but this is the problem with all billionaires: they are a threat to democratic governance. They have an insatiable need to own and control everything. If you want to be free you have to curb their power, and demand political leaders who understand that

Freedom of the Press is irrelevant if fascist billionaires control all of our media.
If Paramount is allowed to take over Warner Bros. Discovery, the conservative billionaire Ellison family will control:

Paramount Studios

MTV
HBO
Comedy Central
Nickelodeon
Cartoon Network
Warner Bros.
DC Studios
Fandango
New Line Cinema
TNT Sports
TBS
Oracle

And more.

These 2,900 individual billionaires could lose 75% of their wealth and still be richer than 4 billion people.

Inequality is eating the whole world alive.
There are now 2,900 billionaires, and they hold $15.8 trillion.

The wealth of the bottom 50% of the global population, over 4 billion people, is estimated at $3.7 trillion.

It's amazing how so many billionaires - who have WAY more money than they could possibly need in 500 lifetimes - REALLY want to avoid paying small slivers of tax money to benefit a common good like social safety services for less fortunate countrymen within the society that made them billionaires.

We will be able to rebuild a constitutional order when Trump is deposed. But it will require rooting out the influence of billionaires, reinvigorating democratic decision making, and complete reform of the corrupted courts. We can do this.

You cannot have a functioning economy when so few people at the top hold so much of the nation’s wealth. It’s not sustainable.

At the root of all of this are the billionaires and their money. Cut off Koch, Murdoch, Singer, Uihlein, Crow, Wilks, Anschutz, Griffin, Musk, Ellison, Malone, Adelson, and Zuckerberg from their wealth and their influence over politics, and much of the Trump-king problem just disappears. Poof.

"We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both." –Justice Louis Brandeis

Words spoken many years ago that are just as relevant today.

We must continue the fight to get big money out of politics.

The concentration of wealth in the hands of a few isn't just bad for our economy. It's corrosive to our democracy.

When the wealthy and well-connected control our political system, regular people don't have a voice.

The result? The demagoguery and corruption we're seeing now.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

We’re losing not because Trump is popular and strong but because the opposition is obsessed with finding clever tricks to win his voters by talking about unrelated things, rather than talking about the only thing that matters right now, which is how bad he is.

Incredible and devastating stories coming from farm country, daily.

Trump is destroying the country with his illegal and unconstitutional tariffs so he and his friends can pay less in income taxes.
China bought a record amount of soybeans… NONE from the U.S. 😔

In Iowa, soybean farmers have spent decades building a relationship with China. Because of Trump’s trade war(s), we’ve lost the market and they’re now coming from Brazil.
