The ground of refusal of readmission by France that the Times article whines about is simply taken from the Schengen Borders Code. Another variation on the Brexity trope that only the UK can legitimately have border controls.
Just the supposed ‘paper of record’ bemoaning the fact that asylum seekers have *human* rights and may be able to enforce them. Accompanied - ultra cynically - by a photo of Human Rights lawyer, Amal Clooney, at a glamorous fundraiser. What a sly and deeply unpleasant rag The Times now is.

But it’s okay for those who violently ransacked the Capitol to go free.
Senator John Cornyn of Texas asked the FBI to arrest Democratic lawmakers who left the state to block the Legislature from voting on a Republican redistricting plan. The new map would give the GOP a significant advantage in five districts now held by Democrats.

If this is re-written, which it might be, people who are experts in historical images should be involved.

Even before AI, too many historians used images merely as illustration. Art historians and documentary filmmakers have specific expertise that would lend a great deal to any discussion of AI.
The AHA has published Guiding Principles for Artificial Intelligence in History Education, offering a disciplinary approach to AI that focuses on the specific needs and challenges of history educators. 🗃️

And he’s doing it in plain sight.

Kristi Noem repeatedly claimed that the U.S. government deported a cannibal that “ate other people” and then began to “eat himself.”

A week later and still no comment from ICE or Noem.

I ask again: "Why Won’t ICE Comment on Kristi Noem’s Cannibal Stories?"

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said ICE deported a self-eating cannibal but provided no evidence. This plays into centuries of racist fantasies.
