This seems really significant. The Judge will want to know how the error occurred and who fed the lawyers inaccurate information. Government lawyers are trained to make sure their representations to the court on material matters are truthful and accurate. Judge Kelley is unlikely to be pleased.
👀 DOJ acknowledges making two significant errors during a court hearing last week on efforts to dismantle USAID

1) It said only 500 employees had been placed on leave. Actual number was 2,140.

2) Said only future contracts were stopped. Existing contracts were also stopped.

The US is the biggest drug and weapons trafficker in North America. Canada and Mexico just managed to secure their borders and the US will pay for it. The US deficit is now through the roof and its enjoyment of cheap Canadian and Mexican oil has ended. The Trump led US just lost the trade war.

As an elderly veteran, I just received a call telling me the housing program I'm in is frozen and will now cost me $550 a month.
I also receive military retirement and social security retirement, which are also likely at risk. Oh almost forgot SNAP and Heap and Medicaid.

So, what's the budget of DOGE? Is it part of the government? Is it independent? What are the guidelines, if any, that govern its reach and authority? Did people vote for Musk or Trump? Also, how does a private citizen have access to our Treasury's federal payment system?
Billionaire Elon Musk and his DOGE agents were reportedly granted full access to the Treasury’s federal payments system, and nobody knows to what end.
